I was happy to see that we had an evening painting to do fo DSFDF. Jefferson Memorial was a quick painting and is about 10x7 inches. I enjoyed doing another evening painting this fall from the Butler Farm Show.
When one of my sons was young he looked out the window at dusk and said, "Look, it's darking!"

These are really great. Are they in your show as well? One thing someone warned me about is posting hi-res images. There is a lot of image theft out there. You might want to make yours smaller. You blog looks great by the way!
Thanks for the image size tip. I'll be replacing them this morning. The Jefferson Memorial image is for an online painting group, different strokes from different folks. The Evening at the Fair is in the show. This blogging is nice to sort through thoughts and images to share. I am enjoying reading others and sharing.
This is simply beautiful.I love the colors.
Love your Memorial painting I LOVE your carnival painting. You're very talented.
Beautiful evening color. The Memorial is very inviting and strong which fit the subject beautifully.
You did a wonderful job with the lights against the night sky on both.
thank you. I do like painting with strong colors and contrast. I like to tell my students, not to be afraid of the darks!
Your paintings are marvelous! Now I have one more blog to watch!
