Self Portrait Idea in Red

Well, I guess it was finally my turn. Thought I would do a self portrait for the daily paintworks challenge and I chose the red paper again. But I sat down to do a younger woman (don't we all think of ourselves younger than we are) and found that she has been modified to over 50 years old.
It is ok, this reality check.. and it is not so bad.

Very nice portrait Maria. I tried to leave a comment on your painting at DPW earlier today but the window wouldn't open for me. I love your line about sitting down to do a young woman--that was how I felt--who is that person?haha! All the portraits here are excellent. You're very versatile. Thanks for your comment.

Hello Maria, I love his self-portrait, the red gives the whole a very Springtime air, his gaze is
warm and happy. Congratulations.
All the best to Maria and family.
A hug with lots of sun, this side of the Atlantic.
