redo in watercolor

Ok, this is better.
I redid this image in watercolor about 10x14 inches.
I felt I wasn't getting it in acrylic so tried again in watercolor.
I am happier with the results. (back to my usual colors too)
I think the expressions worked better.
Maybe I was trying to do too much in such a small size.
Anyway, it is good to learn and keep growing.

I liked the flat quality of the first one. It has a graphic interest. However, your redo is so beautifully done I can understand why you weren't happy with the first. The apron, the blue dress, and brighter crispness are all very appealing! The color palette reminds me of Edward Gordon's wonderful work. http://edwardbgordon.blogspot.com/

Like the watercolour better too, there's more contrast and depth and I like your colour choices.
