Mr Personality!

I just finished this 8x10 in watercolor. This portrait just had to be done with a bold background to fit the big, bold, in your face personality of this pint sized dog.

Oh my goodness Maria!!! That is why you are an instructor in your craft. I am still studying the perfect way you lay down that awesome blue background to highlight that golden fur and those wonderful playful eyes!

This painting is great, Maria. Even that diagnonal tilt of his head adds something special to the painting. Just wonderful.

You did a great job on this one! He has a lot of character. I have a dog portrait in progress for a friend - when I first started the pencil drawing on my WIP, I thought it was going to be a breeze - it's only a dog, should be easier than a human. But they have more personality than we do! I swear it! (Ask Mr. Personality). And the proportions are all different - like working on an alien. :) Great Job!
